About Us

Kemiś is a family company that started from my father's passion for... photography.

My dad not only took great photos but also sold envelopes for issuing photographs to his friends, bringing them from Germany with a Polonez and a trailer. The demand was so high that he turned it into a business.

I was fascinated by this world from the beginning, so I got involved in the company as much as I could.

I remember in 2004, I convinced my dad to import digital frames from China. It was a simple product – a regular LCD screen, allowing more than 1000 photos to be displayed in a frame instead of just one.

It turned out to be a bullseye.

We hit the market at the perfect moment. Before we knew it, we became so popular that our product was being purchased by companies in every significant skyscraper in Warsaw and beyond.

This success was followed by others.

We participated in the Absolut vodka campaign, and our "levitating bottle full of vodka" could be seen in almost every bar in Poland. We created inserts for the Bravo magazine during the World Cup.

Everything was going great until 2008...

At that time, we relied mainly on the advertising market. Then came the global crisis, which caused almost all companies in the industry to freeze their capital.

The effect?

We lost 90% of our turnover. It practically wiped our company off the face of the earth.

We had to immediately cut all unnecessary expenses – both business and private. It was very hard...

But we didn't give up!

We immediately started looking for alternative ways to run the business in the new and difficult times.

Step by step, we began to rebuild the company. We opened a retail store, and shortly after that, an online store. We sold unusual products, so there were plenty of interested buyers. The situation finally began to improve.

In February 2010, due to illness, my dad withdrew from the business, and at 26 years old, I became fully responsible for the further development of the company.

Then we decided to try our hand at wholesale.

And that's how Kemiś was born.

From the beginning, the mission of the wholesale was to help small and medium-sized enterprises by providing them with well-selling products. And in small quantities that they could not get in other wholesalers.

Although we developed quickly (in February 2010, we earned only 47 zł, and by the end of December, we already had a monthly turnover of 98,000 zł), something still bothered me.

I couldn't accept the fact that the wholesale was selling the same products as my retail store. So, in practice, I was competing with my own clients! When I realized this, I immediately closed the retail store. And I never returned to that practice.

We see that our clients appreciate this honest approach because the company is doing better every year. The best proof of this is that by the end of 2023, our revenue already exceeded 6,000,000 zł.

And in recent years, we have received the "Gazele Biznesu" award twice – the oldest, most reliable, and most popular ranking of small and medium-sized companies in Poland.

We are the direct importer of many goods available in our online store. 
As a family company, we pay attention to every detail and take care of our customers' satisfaction. We guarantee high-quality service from A to Z and ensure that our product list includes only gadgets that we would like to use ourselves. We have been on the market as a gift wholesaler since 1982, which gives our customers a guarantee of stability and full availability.

Company history:
1982 - Agencja Foto-Film is established. 100% Polish capital. Operating area - Poland. Basic activities - advertising photography, reportage, amateur photography.

1992 - Agencja Foto-Film transforms into Labopak Sp. z o.o. 100% Polish capital. Operating area - Poland and all former Soviet Union countries. Basic activities are import and export of photographic envelopes and packaging.

1994 - Cooperation with Kieser Druckerei GmbH & Co KG Neusass/Augsburg is established. Name change to Kieser Polska Sp. z o.o. Polish-German capital. The basic offer is Kieser company’s photographic envelopes and packaging. Operating area - Poland and all former Soviet Union countries.

1997 - Kieser Polska separates to form Kieser Moscow.

2002 - The single manufacturer trading formula is exhausted. Name change to Labopak. 100% Polish capital. Our offer is expanded to include all necessary packaging for photographers.

2008 - We make a strategic decision to expand our assortment to include gadgets, gifts, and souvenirs. We start retail sales within our Gadżetex store network and in the advertising market as Labopak.

2009 - Our gadget offer exceeds 250 products.

2010 - We expand our warehouses to significantly increase the volume of offered products. We exceed 2,000 gifts in the offer. The website www.kemis.pl is launched.

2011 - We make a strategic decision to close our retail network and focus all attention on the wholesale market. We set goals to create the widest market offer with order fulfillment within 24 hours (based on our stock levels). We also do not want to compete with our own clients - so we completely withdraw from retail.

2016 - The annual number of wholesale orders exceeds 5,000, the number of products in the offer 5,000. We become a member of the Family Business Foundation.

2020 - Like most companies in Poland and around the world, we face the pandemic. We manage to survive, review suppliers and the entire assortment. Decisions are made to make slight adjustments to our wholesale offer for stores. We end cooperation with the lowest profitability and quality products. We focus on developing the segment of cheap gadgets and gifts for stores priced at 1, 2, 5 zł. We also expand the assortment of exclusive gifts at wholesale prices exceeding 50 zł net.

2022 - We exceed the magic turnover barrier of 5,000,000. New marketing activities based on educating and greatly supporting our clients bring excellent results. We create WIN-WIN situations - in which both parties want to cooperate and gradually increase sales.
